  1. How come you chose to talk about Tiger Woods instead of Leib Tropper? Are you really unaware of any scandals of interest in your own community?

  2. I am certainly aware of the Leib Tropper scandal. From my limited knowledge of it, his actions were inexcusible and indefensible. I also understand that he is being driven from every position of influence or leadership, as he should be if the accusations against him are true (as they appear to be).

    There are plenty of individuals better informed and better placed to address the matter. My columns on JWR are directed toward a broader readership and seek to find Torah lessons in popular culture. Tiger Woods has considerably more significance to that audience than Leib Tropper.
