    Dear Rav,

    As a biologist, I would speculate that our tendency to walk in circles would be a selective advantage in that such would comprise an innate ability to come home or at least to the family camp in unfamiliar hunting territory.

    As a believer, I am convinced that G_d is in charge of nature and thus implanted this trait.

    But who am I to say?
